Can vinyl stickers go on fabric – the simple answer is yes, but the downside is they are likely to fall off sooner than later.

So if you are just looking to have the vinyl sticker decal on say a t-shirt or bag for a short duration (e.g. a few hours) then it should be OK.

For permanent applications to fabric, you will need a specialist type of vinyl, called “Heat Transfer Vinyl” or HTV for short.

This vinyl is a specialist vinyl that has a layer of heat-activated glue on the backside of the vinyl. When the HTC cut-out design is placed onto the fabric (glue side in contact with the fabric) and heat is applied with some pressure, the glue melts and disperses into the fibers of the fabric, bonding the fabric and vinyl together.
